Solar/LED theme has been getting more and more popular in the past two years.
Ultimately, solar energy is manufactured energy. Leds save energy.
For the United States, a nation of wasteful habits. They have no idea what they need to save.
(*1) I think this is the fundamental reason why it is difficult to promote the LED lamps market in the United States.
Leds are light-emitting products. Small grains can produce light energy more efficiently than most modern light sources.
And the good theme, mostly because of the TV, computer screen backlight use.
As technology gets better and better. LED lighting is becoming more mature.
The technical bottleneck of lighting is how to dissipate heat. And the bottleneck of market promotion lies in how to reduce cost.
In terms of market acceptance, (*2) China is now the largest LED lighting user. But there is no complete planning for safety specifications.
Australia’s LED acceptance is also quite large. This has been helped by a strong Australian dollar and the need to rebuild from the natural disasters.
Compared with these two countries, other markets are in their infancy. But I heard the Thai government has a contract with a company. Prepare for mass removal of contaminated existing lighting fixtures.
(*3) The U.S. market is also in its infancy. Since I am developing the American market, I have seen some lamp shows and am quite familiar with the market here.
Americans are wasteful. They like to buy things cheap and easy to use. Often a product needs to generate scale and must rely on the participation of large retailers.
But now that an LED bulb costs $15-20, it’s hard to get retailers to buy it.
Some retailers are already selling PHILIPS, Mega LED… Wait for the light bulb. But I’ve seen too many returns and too little product turnover. And safety regulations have not been unified. All this shows that although leds save electricity, it is not easy to popularize them.
I got into this business mainly because I knew energy was going to get more expensive. (*4) There will come a time when existing light bulb/lighting technology will be replaced with leds or other energy-efficient lighting.
The earthquake in Japan also shook the energy-saving industry for a year or two.
In addition to the need for reconstruction, ordinary people’s concept of energy conservation has been promoted again.
Business is bad.
There are plenty of competitors. There are plenty of questionable products, and (*5) there are plenty of mainland factories that undercut the market.
First of all, the cooling technology is the main key to the life of LED bulbs, but there is no factory afraid. Just emphasize the guarantee period, ignore the lamps and lanterns burned after two months.
In recent years, the cost of safety regulations is too large. (*6) Most led tape light suppliers farms are burning money. Only after receiving the order and 100% payment can we prepare materials for production. Advanced technology also prevents manufacturers from applying for UL/CE safety certification right now. The cost of security certification is too high. So even though the industry is three years old, there aren’t many fully certified factories.
The third problem is competition from big factories. LED patent owner, PHILIPS, CREE, OSROM. . And so on have a complete pathway pattern. When the market matures and costs come down, they will roll it out. And use patents to suppress Taiwanese manufacturers.
Finally, the source of raw materials. The raw materials used by the LED industry are also high cost and will be used out of elements. This is why the gross profit of upstream factories is often higher than that of downstream lighting factories. In the end, the winner should be the one who can master the raw materials upstream. (E.g. Hon Hai)
To sum up, the US LED market is in this difficult environment must let me catch market share.
In the early days of my business, my plan was to sell to property owners. Warehouse owners, amusement park owners, building owners, mall managers, schools, parks. . . Etc.
These so-called commercial areas use a lot of lights and are also the most energy-efficient areas.
In conjunction with tax breaks offered by government agencies such as EnergyStar/LEED, they want nothing more than the vanity of “green building”.
Vanity put the first, provincial tax put the second, in order to save energy and save the earth.
I think that’s what a lot of people are thinking.
But with a passion for life, I think this business is a good way to save the earth. To put a great goal in front of a false reputation will be less critical to success and failure. It should be easier to succeed.
Inexplicable + cosmic invincible enthusiasm, a bit of luck, complete planning, hope to be able to hit the results.
Also hope that someone can join to develop this market.
End of the talk

The article disagrees with the red part. Let me explain:
(*1) I think the MARKET of LED lamps in the United States and Europe is the most mature, because of the strong advocacy of the government, and the participation consciousness of the European and American people is also good. Most of the LED lamps produced by mainland companies are sold to European and American countries!
(* 2) what is certain is that China is the world’s largest manufacturer of led tape lighting and lanterns, and not the biggest consumer, China LED industry with the government’s advocacy, but more depends on people’s recognition, on the mainland, an LED lamps and lanterns price is more than 10 times higher than the price of the ordinary energy-saving lamps, at the current price, It is still difficult to popularize in China.

(*5) It can be said that mainland China does not have core technologies, so it will be at a disadvantage in the competition with peers. However, most mainland enterprises are also actively developing their own technologies, rather than blindly following the low-price strategy, so I can only partially agree with your opinion.
(*6) Indeed, especially in mainland China, some LED lighting enterprises are in a very awkward situation. On the one hand, they are unwilling to give up such a promising market; on the other hand, the factories cannot maintain themselves, especially some small factories that have just started, and this problem is more serious.
