You can modify the size of the mold according to your own needs and preferences. After the mold is built, export the FILE in STL format, and then send it to the 3D printing manufacturer for printing.
2. Prepare the copper wire round support
To measure the length of the copper wire, the radius of the positive and negative copper wire circles of each layer can be measured by 3d software, and then the circumference of the circle can be calculated by 2πR.
It wasn’t easy to make the copper wire into a circle. I used tweezers to do it, which won’t make a perfect circle, but it worked. It’s not a big deal if you have this automatic wire bending machine.
3, welding lamp beads
Place the beads one by one in the mold, pay attention to the Angle, do not confuse the positive and negative poles, you can use the marker to make a mark on the back of the negative pole. It is recommended to put a little welding oil or other flux on each pin, so it will be better to weld. After laying out a layer, lay out the corresponding copper wires, and then weld them one by one.
DIN and DOUT connect the enamelled wire I use, I suggest you to buy a thinner bare copper wire, enamelled wire also need to be painted, it is very troublesome. Then cut into sections of small short thread, use tweezers to weld two LED DIN and DOUT.
Based on my welding experience, it is recommended to weld the larger circles of each layer first, then DIN and DOUT, and finally the smaller circles below, so that it will be smoother. Specific everybody experience summary by himself.
This process can be tedious, frustrating, and time-consuming, so be prepared to take breaks.
